What fortune you've been bestowed
When you asked me and with a nod I replied;
You may think I have little but smiles
Assuredly you can't see that my charm beguiles
But can you see how terrified I am with you?
Once only is enough, then we say our adieu
And not once more are we to dance,
For there are others longing for your chance.
You may write in vexation to me
And you may call on us whenever it be.
The key to my heart is no longer a key
One's face is little but smiles, you see.
